There is no better colour to wear to Wimbledon than white. Sublime in its simplicity, powerful in it’s contrast. White, not surprisingly, is the colour of innocence and also represents equality, fairness and encouragement, so I’d say a pretty good choice for watching the tennis and cheering on your heroes in Wimbledon.

Yet for most, white outfits are tricky to wear. No-one wants to channel the hospital look, reminiscent of the doctor’s lab coat or straight jacket garb… Neither do we want to look like we’re about to hop up the aisle in our wedding dress. We want white to look pretty OR cool, keeping it simple yet effective.

So, what to wear to Wimbledon? I’ve selected my best white outfits which will keep you looking fresh and carefree, with the ability to layer on chillier days with denim or leather. Just don’t spill your Pimm’s or sit on your strawberries.

Madison Avenue polka dot midi dress from STITCH AND WARE, £70

Hope & Ivy white polka dot off the shoulder dress, £48.96 (was £70)

H&M polka dot flounced skirt, £24.99 (in store, £10). Size up one size to normal.

Gina Potter Audrey Hepburn hand printed t-shirt, made to order, £25, plus p+p. DM to order via Instagram.
