It is never too late to buy a Christmas tree, as long as, you’re buying it from a worthy supplier and there is none better than Pines & Needles. With news that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have only bought their tree a few days ago, you can rest assured that you’ll be in good hands.
This family-run business founded in 1995 by three brothers is still fir deep in their business making them the Premier Christmas Tree Growers & Retailers.
It would only be fitting that Lady Wimbledon would head down to their site located in Wimbledon Park to find the Christmas tree of her wishes.
As far as the eye could see there were trees of all shapes and sizes. Entering Pines & Needles’ yard felt just like finding a magically hidden tree grotto in Wimbledon and with her eye set on finding the biggest, tallest and most breathtaking Christmas Tree Lady Wimbledon set out on one autumn morning to go tree-hunting, but first, she needed to look the part.
With her Santa’s hat firmly tugged on over her golden locks Lady Wimbledon was ready. The challenge set before her was tough, and as the brisk weather threatened to nip at her skin Lady Wimbledon set out in search for the perfect tree with the generous help of the lovely staff at Pines & Needles.
It wasn’t long until Lady Wimbledon had found the perfect tree that would take centre stage in her wonderful home and now it was time to chop it down, wrap it up nice and snug, and bring it home.
True to the traditions that saw this Scottish-born family business bloom Lady Wimbledon undertook the aid of a kilt-wearing lumberjack of a man who helped her get her tree ready for transport to the team who eagerly awaited its arrival at her home in Wimbledon.
With the 9 foot tree safely home it was time to get started bringing the true festive spirit to light. As the soft melody of Michael Buble filled the living room the team got to work.
Four women, three hours, three sets of Christmas lights to untangle, endless boxes of Christmas decorations and baubles later and the scene was almost ready to welcome over one hundred guests who were ready to party.
Once all the final touches had been added Lady Wimbledon’s home truly looked like a scene out of an old Hollywood Christmas movie. All that was needed were for the glamorous party guests to arrive and what a night it was. If you haven’t already read our Christmas Party blog here.
Lady Wimbledon and the entire team wish to thank Pines & Needles for all their help and truly making our Christmas wishes come true this year.
