Get your diaries out; Wimbledon Kids has got February covered. We’ve rounded up the best family events happening in and around our area. The weather might be chilly but our diaries are already looking hot.
Bring Your Own Baby Comedy
Here’s one for all of you who spend your days with our tiniest Wombles in town. With a quality line-up of comedians, this event promises parents a night out during the day. Taking place for the first time at the New Wimbledon Theatre, mums and dads get the chance to enjoy the best comedians around (and maybe a cheeky G&T) without worrying about childcare. Babies are also well looked after with soft flooring, toys and more.

Visit the Polka Theatre Before it Closes on February 17th
You have just a few weeks to visit our beloved Polka before it closes its doors to the public until summer 2020. The Theatre turns 40 this year and its birthday gift to audiences is a new building. The final performances of The Wind in the Willows and In the Winter Wood will take place on Sunday 17th February, so hurry up and bring your family and friends to see the highly acclaimed winter shows while you still can. You can also book back-stage tours of the iconic building and be one of the last lucky few to ever see the Polka in this form.
To all Polka fans out there though, don’t panic, you will still be able to experience Polka magic. The theatre will be delivering a huge project called Polka40 across Merton during their temporary closure and Wimbledon Kids will be reporting on it throughout.
