Introducing Pink PT, a one-to-one personal training (PT) and small group-fitness company, based in the heart of Wimbledon, just off the Broadway.
The philosophy at Pink PT is that a good trainer should always have their clients’ experience at the forefront of everything they do, and that’s always specific to you, your needs, and your goals.
They’ve found that the job of a PT, when done well, is much more about promoting enjoyment and emotional capacity for exercise, and less about pushing for the physical optimums of the body. This approach is designed to ensure that everyone they work with is always looking forward to exercising, which will ultimately make health and fitness much easier to commit to.
Pink PT was established in 2017 and is owned and run by Matthew Hill, who has over 10 years experience as a PT, nine of which have been right here in Wimbledon.
Matthew has a particular interest in biomechanics, anatomy and physiology, performance training, and skill development. It’s the application of the hard sciences behind training that set him and Pink PT apart from other providers.
They’re also proud to be an inclusive fitness provider. Pink PT caters to all body types, and understands that positivity is very important on your fitness journey. All bodies are good bodies and confidence is key to successful training.
Pink PT offers a wide range of equipment in their Wimbledon-based private facility, and Matthew and the team are well versed in how to use all of it. Two people might come in with very similar goals, and a similar fitness level, and end up doing very different training sessions based on their individual needs. They believe that each session should be decided by your likes and dislikes, movement preferences, and feedback from your body and brain while you exercise.
Matthew has delivered bespoke training programmes to help clients reach a broad range of goals, and specialises in the following areas:
- Fat loss
- Lifestyle balance
- Movement
- Pre/post-natal
- Rehabilitation
Their small group-fitness classes have a maximum capacity of six (three during Covid restrictions), and involve skill development blended with performance training. This ensures attendees are learning new exercises, but are also able to push their bodies hard in the exercises they already know. Classes cater for all abilities and have progressions and regressions built in so that absolute beginners, people returning to exercise, people with injuries, and post-natal clients are all looked after.
The class timetable is currently under review and more details will be available on the website post-lockdown. Visit Pink PT’s website here for more info: www.pinkpt.co.uk
