Describing herself as a ‘glittery country girl’, the Founder of “Sally Day Stationery and gifts” Sally Day has a passion for the british countryside and farming. We’ve had the pleasure of asking Sally to let us know more about the makings of this heartwarming brand, and just how it all came to be:

• Who/ What inspired you to start your own business?

I grew up in a retail environment; I have always had a passion for meeting people, providing an excellent service and selling good quality products.  7 years ago, I became a Phoenix Trader and that gave me an opportunity to get back into retail, which worked comfortably around the children as I have two beautiful girls (and two wonderful dogs!).  With hard work and determination I began to have a successful little business running.

In 2017 Pheonix Trading closed its doors, and I decided that I still needed to do something in retail but it had to work around family life.  As a stationery lover, I wanted to see what other products were out there.  I visited a few trade fairs and with my knowledge of what my customers liked, within weeks, Sally Day Stationery and gifts was born.

Being a mum and also married to a farm worker with two dogs in tow really drives my love for the British countryside and farming.

• Which aspect of your business have you enjoyed the most?

Sally Day Stationery and Gifts was started three years ago following my dream to start my own business. I get great joy in making people smile and delivering that personal touch. From gift wrapping through to delivery of products to people who are shielding, or unable to get out, it is all a joy for me and key parts of the service I offer.

• How would you advise people to spend their Mothers Day/International Women’s Day?

With this year already being a tough one, made even harder by the difficulty of not seeing your loved ones – why not make Mother’s Day that extra special by spoiling them from the safety of your own home.
