With Lady Wimbledon’s forthcoming Halloween party, our celebrity journalist Angela Sara West gets up close and personal with Ex on the Beach star ZaraLena Jackson about all things Halloween, her inspiring hair loss journey and the launch of her fabulous new makeup collection.
We love your outfit. You are incredible. What drives you and what would you say is your super power?
Aww thank you! So my current drive is just succeeding in life, and being the best person I can be. Alopecia is probably my super power because it’s something that could have destroyed me, however it’s now my unique look.
What’s your favourite memory of Halloween?
Oh god I have so many! Probably a mansion Halloween party I went to once – it was mental!
Do you carve your own pumpkin and do you treat the trick or treaters in your neighbourhood?
I do yes, every year I like to do pumpkins and buy mini pumpkins for the house decor. I don’t get any trick or treaters though, I think my gates put people off!
We’re crushing on your new makeup collection @zaralenacosmetics. We all want those brows. What inspired you to ensure nothing is tested on animals – you’re our hero for that.
Ah that’s so good to hear!! I love animals so much, i avoid wherever I can animals being hurt or sacrificed for beauty / lifestyle choices.

When was the moment you chose to not shy away from the impact of Alopecia, and instead empower others with your makeup collection?
I immediately shared my HAIRLOSS journey from week one on social media. It’s never been a secret to me and sharing my journey has been so empowering, I’ll continue to do so. The makeup collection saved me, so I’ve chose to do my own cosmetics range to save others too.

Halloween next week? What’s your fantasy character and where will you be spending it?
Oh god I do so many Halloween looks! I’ve two Halloween parties, one in north Wales at a mansion and the other at a club in Manchester! I won’t spoil my Halloween outfits as I like to keep them a surprise but they’ll certainly be wow and out there!
