Dianna, has recently completed her dental implants, crowns, and bridge treatment with The Dental Rooms Wimbledon!

  1. What are Dental Implants?

A dental implant is a small titanium screw which replaces a tooth root. It is gently and precisely placed into your jawbone by us. It acts as an anchor for the false tooth, bridge, or dentures.

In some cases, false teeth can be placed on the same day that the implant is placed, often referred to as smile or teeth in a day. You can book a free virtual consultation with our Implant coordinators to know more or to book, please click on the link below:

  1. Is it painful to have Dental Implant fitted?

Implants are placed under local anaesthetic, which numbs the mouth to prevent pain. So, there will be no pain during the procedure. You’ll feel some discomfort once the anaesthetic has worn off, which could last for 3-4 days, and you may notice bruising and swelling which could last for around one week.

This is normal and any discomfort can be managed using the painkillers and antibiotics that we will provide you. If you experience severe pain, contact your dental practice for advice.

If you are nervous about the procedure, let us know and we can provide oral sedation to overcome your anxieties.

At Dental Rooms, we specialise in providing dental care for nervous patient. Find out what our patients have to say Patient testimonials

During your consultation, we will perform a clinical assessment, so we can give you a full breakdown of the costs. You would be given a personalised treatment plan. 1. What are my alternatives to Dental Implants?

There are two main alternatives to implants: bridges and dentures. Your dentist will help you choose the right solution for you during your dental implant consultation.

dental bridge is designed to bridge a gap in your mouth. While implant supported bridges replace three missing teeth, bridges can also replace a single missing tooth. The crowns are placed over the two adjacent natural teeth, which need to be filed down to support them.

Dentures are frameworks that carry one or many replacement teeth. They are removable, unlike an implant or bridge which is fixed in place.

  1. How long do Dental implants last?

Typically, over 90% of dental implants last 10 years or more. At Dental Rooms, our success rate is over 97%

We will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions, so you have the best chance of a successful, long-lasting implant.

  1. What is the Guarantee on my implants?

At Dental Rooms, one of the best implant centres and multidisciplinary dental practice in Wimbledon, we offer a 5-year guarantee* on an implant. Our crowns, dentures and bridges are all guaranteed for one year which is the industry standard.
