Bouncing back into a rhythm after the holidays can be a little tough but with a seasonal detox, we’ll have you feeling refreshed and back to your vibrant self in no time.

With January comes the intention of re-affirming New Year’s Resolutions and many of us wish to bring about change in our daily lives through detoxing. Here are my natural suggestions to help you cleanse yourself from the excess of the holidays.

Charcoal

Charcoal may seem like a diet fad and overused however it’s great for soaking up the bad bacteria in your digestive system which can be the cause of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), bloating, and other symptoms. Most whole food health stores should stock refined charcoal. Do check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting any new medication or supplements.

Vitamin B2

Aid your liver and bowl this season with health aid vitamins to help cleanse, improve metabolism and digestion. Liver Care contains Vitamin B2 which protects cells and contains dandelion, artichoke and milk thistle which help to detoxify and protect the liver.

Vitamin B2 can also be found in green leafy vegetables, mushrooms and almonds.

Detox Teas

There is a delicious array of detox teas available jam-packed with blends of ginger, lemon, fennel, aniseed, liquorice, turmeric, mint and rooibos. Your detox tea doesn’t have to have each and all of these ingredients but find a herbal mix you enjoy. Rishi and Yogi teas are my favourite, they are ethically produced and blended well to taste soothing too.

Remember to stay well hydrated this winter, as it naturally flushes our body of harmful toxins as Mother Nature intended. For any queries or advice feel free to get in touch with me.
