December has officially arrived and the party season is in full swing. On Saturday 10 December 2016, Fit Brit Collective hosted my kind of party. It was a full on day of fitness and yoga in the heart of the village. With healthy goody bags, banging tunes and women who were ready to work hard to maintain their bodies over the festive season what more could the fit chicks in Wimbledon need.
‘Bootcamp and Bend’ was the title of this fitness party. The event was held at the Wimbledon Village Club and kicked off at 2pm with a bootcamp session lead by Brit Williams with high and low energy options. We bear crawled and one arm burpee’d away to the sounds of Micheal Jackson before we went into some plyometric core standing mat work.

We then had a ten minute break which I was grateful for, before we started the yoga. The ‘Bend’ part of the day was led by Sophie Dear. This I found equally as challenging but it was a great way to unwind, and the high ceilings of the Wimbledon Hall and candles made it a perfect setting for this session at the end of the day.
After the class we got to sample the amazing food from vegan cafe, Lu-Ma and the natural energy bombs hand made by health expert, Heather Newman.
With slightly sore legs and a calm mind, I picked up my goodie bag and floated into the rest of my weekend guilt-free. This was definitely the best teetotal party in Wimbledon Village!
