Old Wimbledonians RFC Welcomes New Players

Would you like to become part of one of the most sociable, inclusive rugby clubs in South West London? Old Wimbledonians RFC is actively seeking new players to join the men’s squad for this year and beyond.

Nestled away in a quiet corner of Raynes Park is the Old Wimbledonians RFC – a community-oriented rugby club with teams ranging from a men’s First XV through all age-groups, right down to under-fives.

In total, the OWRFC is home to over 500 players and around 70 coaches, with excellent facilities and close affiliation to two of the best schools in Wimbledon. And that’s without mentioning the fantastic support each of their teams receives from the touchline every match day from their large pool of committed fans and non-playing members.

While they currently prepare for the new season, working hard in training since July, the Old Wimbledonians RFC is actively seeking new players to join the men’s squad for this year and beyond.

Director of Rugby, Gabriel Enright, said, “I’d like to invite anyone who’s interested in playing rugby this season – whether trying it for the first time or getting back into it after a few years off – to come down to training with us and discover what makes the OWRFC such a unique, special rugby club.”

On top of joining a talented young squad to play rugby at a fun but competitive level, new members will also gain access to some great deals and discounts with local businesses who are partnered with the club, plus many more benefits.
