Just a short walk from Raynes Park train station, on Kingston Road, is Kitchen Revolutions – a stunning showroom full of bespoke interiors and unique styles created by Agnes Zmijewska, a specialist kitchen designer with 20 years of experience.
Agnes, who grew up in Germany and has been a member of the Raynes Park community for seven years now, was kind enough to speak to us about her experience as a kitchen designer and the exciting journey she’s been on since launching Kitchen Revolutions.
Here’s what she shared with us:
Agnes, how many years have you been working in interior design, and what attracted you to work as a specialist kitchen designer?
It all started 20 years ago, when I completed my interior design studies and began working in the kitchen industry.
I quickly found that every customer has different needs, and no two kitchens are the same, which I really enjoy. I consider myself very lucky to specialise in such an interesting field, and I still love every new project I get to work on.
Could you tell us a bit about how your German heritage has influenced your work with Kitchen Revolutions?
German-made kitchens are famous for their quality and precision. I wanted to take the German values that I grew up with into my own work, as they had a big impact on me when I was young.
I always seek perfection when I design kitchens for my customers and use that to achieve the best results.
What made you choose Raynes Park as the location for your Kitchen Revolutions showroom?
I received the exclusive offer to become a sole Rot Punkt kitchens dealer in the Wimbledon area, and decided to take that great opportunity.
I was also happy to open the Kitchen Revolutions showroom in Raynes Park, instead of somewhere more mainstream like the Wimbledon high street, because it allows me to keep my kitchen prices more affordable for my customers.
How long has your showroom been open on Kingston Road?
My showroom has been open for seven years. During this time, we’ve had the pleasure of designing a lot of kitchens in the area and we’ve built great relationships with lots of local residents who kindly continue to introduce us to their friends and relatives.
What do you like most about being a member of the Raynes Park and Wimbledon community?
Most of all, I like meeting new people and establishing a nice bond with all our neighbours, which helps to feel part of something bigger, uplift the spirit, and achieve common goals. I’m very grateful for all our customers and friends in the local area, as it’s a really great community.
Could you tell us a bit about how your virtual consultations work, and how you’re currently working with customers online?
For anyone who prefers virtual consultations, we’re always happy to offer those via Zoom, and we also use WhatsApp, Messenger, or other methods that are convenient for our customers.
However, in addition to our kitchen design and installation services, we also provide building services and will remain open to support the construction industry and our customers through these uncertain times.
Throughout lockdown and beyond, we’re operating on a strict appointment-only basis and taking extra measures to ensure the safety of all our visitors and staff.
What are your top style and design recommendations for people who want to re-model their kitchens right now?
I’m always happy to share a few good tips for anyone re-modelling their kitchens:
- First of all, allow plenty of time for the whole process of planning, delivery, and installation.
- Do your research and make sure your chosen kitchen supplier has a good reputation and/or recommendations.
- Pay attention to the quality of the product to make sure your kitchen will continue to look great and function properly for many years.
- Whenever possible, choose sustainable and eco-friendly products to reduce environmental impact.
- Pay attention not only to the kitchen design, but also practicality and ergonomics. Your kitchen designer should advise how to achieve the best results, and will help you choose the most suitable kitchen style and finish.
- Finally, remember to discuss the latest kitchen innovations with your kitchen designer. Appliances like boiling water taps and downdraft hobs can make your daily cooking easier, quicker, and more enjoyable.
What are you looking forward to most about re-opening your showroom after lockdown?
Despite the lockdown, we’re very grateful that currently we have even more work than usual. It seems lots of people are finding opportunities to work on their interiors now they’re spending more time at home.
Once lockdown is over, we’re excited to work with some interesting new customers soon now they’ve had more time to come up with ideas for their home and kitchen improvements.
Do you have any special offers coming up for Christmas?
Absolutely! This December, and January 2021, we’re offering a special promotion for all Lady Wimbledon readers. Every customer who places a kitchen order, and mentions Lady Wimbledon, will get a special gift – a fantastic free standing Miele coffee machine.
Please contact us at the showroom for more details. We’re looking forward to hearing from some more members of the local community soon!

It’s also worth mentioning that we value every customer, not depending on how big the job is, so if anyone is interested in purchasing or replacing single components within their kitchen then we’ll be happy to assist you.
And, finally, we’d love to know what you think will be the top trend for kitchen styles and designs in 2021?
Of course. In 2021, I think the top trends for kitchens will be:
- Eco-friendly cabinets and accessories
- Industrial-style kitchen designs and black metal elements
- Two-toned kitchens
- Blue and green colour cabinetry
- Brass accessories
- Dark surfaces and textured woods
