With winter around the corner, New Victoria Hospital in Raynes Park are helping to keep on top of public health issues as they announce a series of free webinars to answer health-related questions from the public, as part of a pioneering campaign.

As healthcare services throughout the UK face a large backlog of non-COVID related care, charity-run New Victoria Hospital has announced that it will be hosting a series of free webinars with some of its top Orthopaedic consultants to help ease the pressure on the NHS, where roughly 1.4 million patients remain on orthopaedic waiting lists.

New Victoria Hospital’s Patient Webinars will focus on joint pain

Each focusing on a different orthopaedic concern, the five webinars will take place throughout October and November 2021 online and will be hosted by New Victoria’s orthopaedic specialists. Completely free to attend and with no obligation afterwards, the audience will be invited to ask questions ahead of the webinar directly to any of the consultants about any Orthopaedic concerns. Each question will be addressed by the relevant consultant on the webinar, giving patients greater insight into his/her condition.

Those who wish to book a consultation with one of the specialists following the call will have an opportunity to do so through New Victoria Hospital’s self-pay scheme, which allows people to self refer without needing to go through their GP. For those attending, a reduced rate, fixed price package will be offered, including an appointment with their chosen consultant and an MRI for just £495.

The Webinars will be held by highly specialised Orthopaedic Consultants

The schedule for the webinars runs as follows:

Hip Pain – Monday 11th October at 7pm – Mr Ashwin Unnithan

“It is rare for a hospital to undertake this kind of initiative, but our ethos has always been to put quality patient care first and we are keen to help those suffering with orthopaedic issues in whatever way we can.

We know that many people were unable to see a specialist during the pandemic and so are pleased to offer this direct, obligation-free link to our specialists, who will answer concerns as thoroughly as possible.”

David Marshall, Chief Executive of New Victoria Hospital
